Hi All,
I have been trying to learn Spanish off and on for a few years now. I guess I'm just too stubborn to give up. I can understand a lot of what I read in Spanish, but when I turn on Univision I get very frustrated. Maybe I'm expecting too much. Anyway, just wanted to say hi and hopefully I can try to comunicate some in Spanish on this forum and learn some more. [H]

lucy in the sky...yeah... ESTE FORO PARECE MUY AMABLE... ( it seems)...Muchas gracias. What's a good way to say "Corrections to my Spanish are always welcome." I came up with "Correcciónes de mi español son invitado siempre." I'm sure that sentence could use some work
hope this helps!

Yo soy de el sur de los Estados Unidos de América. (currently Louisiana).
hey there Bruce!
let´s see.. you can say:
LAS CORRECCIONES A MI ESPAÑOL SON SIEMPRE BIENVENIDAS
SON SIEMPRE BIENVENIDAS LAS CORRECCIONES A MI ESPAÑOL...
i prefer the 1st one.. i dont know why.. it just sounds better i think...
so, from America, huh? i was in California for a few months...great place by the way! i loved it! though it s not true that: IT NEVER RAINS IN CALIFORNIA!! not only it rained, but snowed and it was by far, my coldest summer vacations! jajaaja...

¨ Yo soy de el sur de los Estados Unidos de América¨
first tip: you have to use a contraction in this sentence. here:
( YO ) ( it s not necesary to use always the personal pronoun in spanish, well, sometimes it is, but not in this case) ...SOY DEL SUR DE (LOS) ESTADOS UNIDOS DE AMERICA.
DEL: DE + EL. Another example: me baje DEL autobus ( here we use the word ¨ colectivo¨instead of bus)... ( i got off the bus )
AL: A + EL. Fui AL medico.( i went to the doctor. )
hope this helps! please correct my english as well..

lucy in the sky...hey there Bruce!Yeah, most people think of L.A. when they think California, but that state has a huge range of climate.
