Does "Medico" And/Or "Medicos" Take?

Does "medico" and/or "medicos" take an accent mark? I see both ways- which is correct?

With an accent mark:
"médico / médicos" = doctor / doctors. This is the most usual meaning.
"medicó" = he/she gave medicine" (verb "medicar").

Without an accent mark:
"medico" = I give medicine / I am giving medicine (verb "medicar").
