If I wanted to say "my beautiful dogs", and was reffering to two female dogs, would the adjective be masculine or feminine? I've never seen "perro" change to "perra", and I don't think that works, does it? But would I say "mis perros bonitos" so that the adjective agreed with "perros", or "mis perros bonitas" so that the adjective agreed with my dogs' actual genders?

Thanks in advance!

Wow, something I can reply too. Emotion: stick out tongue It would be : "Mis perros bonitas" , I don't know, if since the dogs are female, would it be perras? I think its perros, but not 100% sure. I'm only in 3rd year Spanish and I didn't have a good 2nd year Spanish teacher. ^^;
Sometimes, it's not possible to make the feminine of some words. For exemple, you need to say:

- un gorila macho, un gorila hembra

- una rata macho, una rata hembra.

I don't know if this is the case but I also think that you can say: un gorila hembra muy bonita.

If this in uncorrect, a native speaker will help us!Emotion: smile
You can say un gorila y una gorila. The phrases about rata are OK.

The noun phrase is mis perras bonitas (the adjective agrees with the noun in gender and number).
Wow, I so my 2nd guess was right. Cool.
Sorry for the mistake, but in my book it's written that it's not possible to say "una gorila".

Saludos.
Se entendería si alguien dijera "una gorila" aunque es difícil determinar el femenino y masculino de muchos animales.

investigando sobre la rata... me acabo de enterar que existe ¡el rato!

rato3.
(De rata1).
1. m. ratón (ǁ mamífero roedor).
2. m. Macho de la rata1.

If you want to say "my beautiful dogs" you could say "mis perros bonitos", because general things are said in masculine form. But, if all dogs are famale you also can say "mis perras bonitas". And the adjective always agreed with the gender of the noun you use.

Tu inglés es muy bueno y me parece que los errores que cometiste fueron fallos al escribir.
