Hi, July 8.2011 I just bought a CD for my students to use this Fall. Each song teaches so much of the grammar I teach in Spanish Level One. There is one line of grammar in one of the songs I don't understand. It uses gustar this way: ...
|Syl I like you = me gustas|
you like me = te gusto
I like myself = me gusto. ( yes...although it sounds a bit stupid to say so hehehe)
you like yourself = te gustas.... ( but once again, you won't really need this cuz you rarely walk around saying that ...
|Amber Thanks again Syl. I learned a lot today. I checked VERBIX and have bookmarked the site....I'll probably use it often. Thanks again for your time...it was most appreciated:)|
Here are some additional tips for easier comprehension of the verb “GUSTAR”:
If you say: “(Yo) te amo”, it means:“I love you”… but
if you say: “(Yo) te gusto”, it DOESN”T mean “I Ilike YOU”, it means the other way around; it means:
“YOU like ME”.
