Update to version 4

Today we have updated forodeespanol.com to version 4. This update includes new features such as adding friends via their profile and having their recent activity shown on your Home page. In fact, even more features have been added to the Home page such as latest videos, which posts are the most popular, latest site activity (just happened), latest topics, and latest news and media. This will make it easier for you to track the activity of your friends and the entire community.

In your profile you can add feeds that you'd like to share as well as different kinds of media files. You can make announcements, add a biography and have people write on your wall.

We've also changed forodeespanol visually to give it a little more colour adding a little Spanish vibe :)

Today we uploaded some changes in the design of the Home and Forum pages. We are striving for the pages to be easy to read, clear and clean and will continuously work on making it perfect :)
Since our update beginning of this year we're (happily) noticing an increase of traffic to FDE! That's always very exciting news as we love to help people have a good resource for learning Spanish! By the way, comments are always welcome :)

A new section was added today, Quotes! We've got quite a few in there and hope to add many more over time! You can browse them by tag category and author, and in the forums any comments are welcome to each quote. We hope you like this little addition :)

Our newest feature on forodeespanol is our translation page. It's simple to use and you can translate between many languages if needed, not only English to Spanish or the other way around. We hope this will help your adventure on our website a little more if you ever get stuck :)

January 29 update

We've updated forodeespanol again today. We changed some design things, especially the community page so that you can detect unread forums easier. Some known bugs were fixed as well so we hope that everything works better now if you've had any problems before! If you need any help or want to let us know about any problems or bugs, just answer to this post.

Question & Answer format explained

One of our new features includes the ability for moderators to change posts into the "Question and Answer" format.
This means when viewing a post, it will show the Question at the top in a different colour, and the answers that have been marked as an "Answer" below it.
The posts that are not chosen as extremely relevant answers will show more like comments and have a white background. This will allow you to find the good answers to certain questions much faster instead of having to go through the entire post to find what you need.

It has been a bumpy ride but we've come far! We've updated forodeespanol.com today and have included more features - Videos and News!
And this is only the beginning, we're planning to add more sections for you to enjoy learning Spanish. This version also fixed many bugs which we've had before so we hope our journey will be smoother now :)
In this news area we'll keep you updated on any changes we make and new upcoming features. Enjoy!
