Children Books are always good to start with. They don't use 'difficult' vocabulary, usually the essential words that are normally used in every day life (apart from the odd dragon or purple flying cow that we don't use that much ;) ). Kiddies authors are not normally out to use wonderful poetic sentence structures with double / hidden meanings or similar. Kids tend to get bored when it gets too complex, so the authors use only what it necessary, hence the vocabulary that you need to know.

Besides, they're a lot of fun too!

Re: Best books to start off with?

I would recon that childrens books would be a great thing to start off with... something like "my fist 1000 words" to get some vocabulary done

Re: Best books to start off with?

Hello,

In my opinion you really don't need books to start learning Spanish. You can find Spanish to English online dictionaries. Take simple Spanish article and try to understand it with the help of these dictionaries. You can play the sound to learn how to say it in Spanish.

Following is the links which will help you start learning Spanish.

//www.iana.org/ipaddress/ip-addresses.htm Dictionary

http://www.spanicity.com/

You can also find free software downloads on internet.
