I was trying to say "I hope this community is up to helping a student who wants to speak spanish as a profession (I would like to be a translator when I am older.)
I realize now that saying "I hope you are up to" is probably not used in spanish. Thanks for the corrections though.
I have a question though: At the top, where you changed it to "estoy in tercero de espanol", why did you do that? I know its correct, but i was taught that you use estar for how you feel and where you are physically, such as a place like 3rd street or in the United States. Oh, and what form of ser is sea, and when do you use it?

You can say Espero que ustedes/vosotros puedan/podÃ¡is ayudar a un estudiante que quiere tener el espaÃ±ol como profesiÃ³n. You should explain you would like to be a translator

Well, estar is used to express what are you thinking, too. "Taking a lesson" is a mental state (more or less ), you cannot say ser because "taking a lesson" is not your identity.

Sea is subjunctive, 3rd person, present.
