Hi everybody, I've registered here but my account hasn't been approved yet so I'm posting anomously for now lol.

anyway, I did spanish for 2 years in school but it was only an hour a week and the teacher spent most of the time trying to keep the rest of the class quiet, so needless to say, I didn't learn much lol! So, I thought I'd start from scratch again, obviously I have quite a few simple words etc. But I'd like to start properly, with the verbs etc. (which have always been really confusing to me!)

so, what are the most basic, essential things I need to learn to get a good start for learning the language? Thanks in advance!

Salina, let us know if you have problems registering!

Well, I'm not a teacher but in a language, the first thing I would do is to learn the most simple things. Simple words because, the most important things in a language is the vocabulary. So, I guess you could start reading books, simple books or so.

Then, I would learn the articles of the language "los, las, etc" so that you can build sentences Wink

Welcome to the Forum!

One good place to start is BBC, they have a lot of nice resources on their languages website here

Also, you might try StudySpanish.com and another good website for learning verbs is Spaleon which has an interactive conjugation tool, so you can improve your skills while you learn.

Feel free to use the forum a lot so as to improve!

Good luck,

Ben

Hey perro_senorita, welcome to the forums! Wink

If you want to start from the verbs, you can find the conjugation here

However, I don't think verbs are that essential, you can communicate with others even by using the wrong verbs..they are quite difficult so, that's why I recommended starting with articles.
