Todo está patas arriba.
Eres más pesado que una vaca en brazos.

Is these phrases used in other countries besides Spain? I travel to Mexico and if I use them, I don't want to sound like an idiot.  I like the way they sound though, but they are idiomatic when translated into English.

Es mejor hablar español un poco que hablar nada. Entonces por lo menos puedo entender mucho más personas.

Commonly said in Mex. Todo está patas pa'rriba. OK

If you're talking about the weight "pesas más que una vaca en brazos" despite it's not used here  it can work as well

Thanks. I try to understand the regional differences. Concerning, "eres más pasado que una vaca en brazos", I believe the meaning in Spain would be don't be such a bore or something like that refering to an attitude.  I'm not sure though.  Maybe someone could comment.

If you refering to an attitude don't use such words bcse it may be missunderstood. Saying "qué pesado(a) eres" would be better.

Hi!

"Todo esta patas arriba" means "this is a mess" and you can use it anywhere.

"Mas pesado que vaca en brazos" it's a joke, usually is used if you are talking about someone that is not there, because could be offensive.

There's another one: "mas pesado que tren a pedales" (it's a joke like the second one)

sorry about my english! :)

Thanks I understand both now. The actual phase was "Él es más pesado que una vaca un tus brazos". I was a girl talking about her brother.

¡Hasta Pronto!
