2. ¡Lastima que él no esté / está aqui !

3. Dicen que aquellos indios sean / son muy feroces.

4. Cree Ud. que ella se alegre / alegra mucho de eso ?

Con creer que siempre el indicativo. Con no creer que siempre subjuntivo.

Lástima que él no está. (en este momento no está. Quizá llegue más tarde).
Lástima que él no esté (y no creo que venga más tarde tampoco)

Dicen que aquellos indios son muy feroces.

dicen que podría ir seguido de subjuntivo cuando se trata de un imperativo indirecto:

(Ellos) Dicen que vayas mañana a visitarlos.

¿Cree Ud.. que ella se alegra (en este momento) de eso?
¿Cree Ud. que ella se alegre (en el futuro, cuando se entere) de eso?

El subbjuntivo es un "pain in the as..." ...neck.. para los que hablan inglés, no hay reglas sencillas, hay listas largas de expresiones que van seguidas de un modo o de otro. Y para peor, en algunos casos los dos modos son posibles, con ligeras variaciones de sentido. Y encima no todos los que hablamos español no lo hacemos igual, y lo que para algunos está bien para otros está mal.
Y bueno... a mí el inglés también me cuesta bastante.
