Hi :

I've been studying spanish for a while. I have a question particularly the verb CABER. What is the Present Subjunctive of CABER in yo/tú/el/nos/vos/ellos forms. Of what I've learned that Present Subjunctive is formed by starting with the yo form of the present indicative, drop the -o ending and add the Present Subjunctive endings.

For the case of the verb CABER, since the present indicative yo form is QUEPO, is the following are correct?

yo form = quepa                       nosotros = quepamos

tú form = quepas                       vosotros= quepáis

el form = quepa                        ellos/ellas= quepan

or the following are the correct one, by just using the stem CAB?

yo form = caba                       nosotros = cabamos

tú form = cabas                       vosotros= cabáis

el form = caba                        ellos/ellas= caban

Thanks in advance.

regards,

shelby

The first group of forms is the correct one, i.e., quepa, quepas, quepa, etc.

A note: it's "él" is the personal pronoun; "el" is the article.
