1. Dar a luz a un bebé. Si dices "dar a luz un bebé", estás diciendo que es el bebé el que da a luz, y esto es imposible.

2. Acuerdo con. Ejemplos: He llegado a un acuerdo con mi jefe. Estoy de acuerdo con lo que has dicho.

In the first place, si podamos decir correctamente que "un bebé dio luz", period!,

esto supondria que tambien podamos decir correctamente algo así, como:

"La mujer del famoso escritor dio luz esta mañana". Esta oracion no me

suena nada bien. In English this would literally translate to something like:

"The wife of the famous author gave life this morning." : gave life to what, or to whom?

Puwes, bueno, yo sé muy poco de English grammar y mucho menos la del Español.

But this is how I would analize it grammatically:

Subject: La mujer

Verbal phrase: dio luz (this is a verbal phrase requiring a direct object)

Diect object: ?

Esto es solo mi opinion no mas. I could very well be wrong, of course.

Esta oración no me suena nada bien. In English this would literally translate to something like:

"The wife of the famous author gave life this morning." : gave life to what, or to whom?
