I guess some questions are...

Where do you live now?
Do you have access to Spanish people in your area who can help you along?
Do you have access to college or other spanish classes? 

That would probably be the best way to start, take classes or "adopt" a Spanish person. Visit Mexican restaurants like I do. I started by taking classes and I also buy books that I think are beneficial and will help further my knowledge of the language.

Good luck! = ¡buena suerte! or just ¡suerte! in this case "buena" is already implicit.

Hi Elaine, the word "suerte" is female gender for that reason you should have written "buena" instead of  bueno.

However this form can be possible:

Bueno, ¡suerte!  = Ok, good luck! / Then, good luck!

but it means something different and there must be a comma.
