If I want to say en español algo como:
« It takes two to tango», ¿cómo lo hago?
thanx. muchisimas gracias.
Anonymous:How about this...?: "El tango no se baila sin pareha"
SylPareJaThat's ok. Syl. Anyway, it sounds all the same to me. Besides, I, myself, can be a pretty imaginative speller sometimes.
And also, some persons spell their laughter differently. Some laughs ha,ha,ha,ha!...and some do it as ja,ja,ja,ja!
So, it's really no big deal.
Syl:haha = english laughter
jaja = spansh laughter
The word pareja is a spanish word and it is written with j, not h. Even though it is pretty normal to see errors like that, even among native speakers, it is not a gramatically correct way of writing. It is an error. I know it is understandable anyway ( at any case for people who already know the word), but since this is a page that helps people learning spanish I preferred to correct it.
Touché...touché! I bow to your wisdom, Syl! Anyway, my response was meant more as a joke than anything else.
I said it más o menos with tongue in cheek as it were. I was just trying to be funny but aparently I have failed.
Pero, en serio, tienes razon. Este lugar es un foro para aprender.
Thanx for reminding me.[H]M
