Hi, I'm taking Spanish 102 course, and I was hoping if you guys can verify my spanish-to-english translation. Note that the font in red (rojo) is in english. If some of my english translation is incorrect, please let me know. Muchos gracias!

Actividad 3: Más verbos. Completa las oraciones con la forma apropiada de los verbos indicados. (Algunos funcionan como gustar, otros no.)

1. A mi me parace que estás loca. (paracer)

It appears to me you are crazy. or You appear crazy to me.

2. A Bernardo y a Amalia les fascinan las peliculas viejas. (fascinar)

Bernardo and Amalia like the old movies.

3. ¿A ti te falta tiempo para terminar? (faltar)

Do you need more time to finish?

4. El Sr. Castañeda nunca necesita trabajar porque es millonario. (necesitar)

Mister Castañeda never need to work because he is a millionaire.

5. Ahora, después de caminar tanto hoy, a Gustavo le molestan los zapatos. (molestar)

Now, after walking a lot today, Gustavo's shoes bothered him.

6. Ayer a Julio le fascinó el concierto. (fascinar)

Yesterday, Julio likes the concert.

7. ¿Por qué no me ayudaste cuando te pedí ayuda? (ayudar)

Why you did not help me when I asker for your help.

8. A Amparo siempre le falta dinero. (faltar)

Amparo always need money.

Actividad 4: Combina. Reescribe las siguientes oraciones usando los pronombres de complemento directo e indirecto (direct- and indirect-object pronouns).

1.   Te voy a escribir una composición.    =    Voy a escribirtela./ Te la voy a escribir.

      I'm going to write a composition to you.    =    I'm going to write it to you.

2. Le regalé dos discos compactos de rock. = Se los regalé.

I gave two CD Rock to him/her. = I gave them to him/her.

3. Mi madre les pidió una tortilla = Se la pidió.

My mother asked them a tortilla = She asked it.

4. ¿Quieres que te mande la información por correo electrónico? = ¿Quieres que te la mande?

Do you want me to send the information by e-mail? = Do you want to send it?

5. Estoy preparándote un café. = Estoy preparándotelo./ Te lo estoy preparando.

I'm preparing a coffee = I'm preparing it.

1) You do not write a composition to somebody; you may write it for somebody. (but, you write a letter to somebody.) Thus,

I'm going to write a composition for you / I'm going to write it for you.

3) My mother asked them for a tortilla / she asked for it.

4) Do you want me to send it?

5) I'm preparing coffee for you / I'm preparing it for you.

Actividad 5: De Otra manera. Reescribe las siguientes oraciones de otra manera sin cambiar el significado. Presta atención a los acentos.

1. Te lo voy a comprar. Voy a comprartelo

I'm going to buy it for you.

2. Se lo estoy cosiendo. Estoy cosiendoselo.

I'm sewing it for him/her/them.

3. Me los tienes que llavar. Tienes que lavarmelos.

You have to wash it for me.

4. Nos lo está leyendo. Está leyendonoslo

He/She is reading it for us.

5. ¿Se lo puedes mandar? ¿Puedes mandarselo?

Can you send it for him/her/them.

6. Te las va a preparar. Va a preparartelas.

He/She/They is/are going to prepare them for you.

By the way, do you know if there are any other spanish forums out there that I can post? If so, what do you recommend? The reason I'm asking is that it seems there's not a lot of activity on this forum meaning I have to wait a little longer to receive this kind of reply. I have a pretty tight schedule, and I was hoping if you can point me to the right spanish forums. I think I might have a better chance of posting the same material on different spanish forums cause I can get some quick replies in less time.

Sorry for that Mystic, we try to do our best and as fast as we can, but maybe even a couple of hours is too much for you. Personally, I'm not good enough at translation because I don't think that some kinds of translation exercises are helpful to learn another language. This one, I guess, is one of them.
I can check your spanish sentences, and they are ok, good work. As far as I know these should be the translations:
2. Se lo estoy cosiendo. Estoy cosiendoselo.

I'm sewing it for him/her.

3. Me los tienes que llavar. Tienes que lavarmelos.

You have to wash them for me.

5. ¿Se lo puedes mandar? ¿Puedes mandarselo?

      This is a tricky one. Is pretty much saying, "Are you going to prepare them for yourself."

I understand that you're trying to do your best and as fast as you can... that's OK since we all had very busy lives. However, I find that translation exercises are helpful, at least for me in this case. Granted, the spanish-to-english translation or vice versa is rigid and inelegant, but understanding the translation behind it does help a lot in my spanish study skills, especially on the exams. Anyway, I have another exercise for you guys and see if you can translate them into Spanish. Take as much time as you want to. Thank you and I'm very grateful for what you've done for me.

1.   I had been going to that school for five years.

2.   He used to visit her every day.

3.   They were listening to the music when I entered.

4.   My uncle often came to our house.

5.   How long had you been waiting?

6.   We had been listening for a long time.

7.   The pupils were reading and writing their lessons.

8.   How long had he been coming here?

9.   Mary was reading the newspaper while I listened to the radio.

10.   He frequently wrote to us.

I get your point. I suppose that it's useful when you're at the starting point in your learning. I wouldn't translate clauses when you're an advanced learner though. So, here are the literal translations:

1.   I had been going to that school for five years. Había estado yendo a esa escuela por cinco años.

2.   He used to visit her every day. Solía visitarla todos los días.

3.   They were listening to the music when I entered. Estaban escuchando música cuando entré.

4.   My uncle often came to our house. Mi tio a menudo viene a nuestra casa.

5.   How long had you been waiting? ¿Cuánto tiempo has estado esperando?

6.   We had been listening for a long time. Habíamos estado escuchando por mucho tiempo.

7.   The pupils were reading and writing their lessons. Los alumnos estaban leyendo y escribiendo sus lecciones.

8.   How long had he been coming here? ¿Cuánto tiempo había estado viniendo aquí?
