I appoligize if this is the wrong forum, but I had someone instant message me. They only speak spanish...and I want to ask them how they got my screen name. However, I won't know what they mean if they answer me. Is anyone willing to help me?

I'm guessing it will be a long confusing process.   A better approach might be to search and ask people how someone gets screen names and then find a way to block them.   In some messengers there is a list of names of members and you have a choice to hide or not.   If someone sees your name and is intrigued they can message you.   Seems like with one messenger I had to mark me as not there to keep people from trying to porn me.

Thanks for responding. And yeah, I can block them...however, I'm curious as to how he got my screen name in the first place. Oh yeah, I was curious as they said "Pues tienes algo", and I am pretty sure "pues" means "well,", but what does that phrase mean?

-are you telling me that the only thing that happened is you got a message from some stranger that said, "Pues tienes algo"? Huh?   That doesn't seem like it could be possible, because this sounds like they are answering a question, which means there must have been other things said?   Which would indicate other things might have been said?   I'm saying this because people should realize that words/phrases should not be lifted out of context because it could change the meaning completely.    If there was a conversation, or even a few words, you'd get a clearer response if you put this phrase in context.

The word is "brócoli" (at least here in Argentina, but I think it's the same word in Spain).

By the way, the correct question is "¿Cuál es la palabra española para "broccoli", por favor?

Cheers,

Sextus

Therefore you have something = pues tienes algo.

is like saying you're someone interesting, or intrigued or something like this.
