Recuerdo que en mis comienzos como cibernauta se usaba mucho "mail", pero ahora noto que "correo" está ganando terreno.

En Argentina se usa "mail" e "e-mail", sobre todo el primero. "Correo" la verdad que nunca lo oí decir. Cuando se quiere usar el equivalente español, se emplea "correo electrónico".

En un plano formal se pone "correo electrónico" o sólo "correo" aunque si dicen e-mail o mail se entiende. Prefiero usar el equivalente castellano.
