No obstante, having said all that, harías bien tener presente este pequeño punto: • START siempre se empareja con FINISH en la frase “START to FINISH”. e.g.: — I watched the game from START to FINISH. — I always FINISH what I have STARTED! • BEGIN siempre va con END en la frase: “BEGINS and ENDS”. e.g.: —The Bible BEGINS with Genesis and ENDS with The Apolcalypse. — The day BEGINS at sunrise and ENDS at sundown. saludos y bienvenido al FORO! Miembro Pleno858 ![]() thanks a lot, you helped me so much, so it doesn´t matter which to use. Start and begin mean almost the same?? In almost all cases, when used as verbs, "start" and "begin" are synonymous. "It starts now!" "It begins now!" "You may start writing now." "You may begin writing now." "Dude, it's starting to rain." "Dude, it's beginning to rain." There are a few rare cases where you generally wouldn't mix start and begin though. "Dude, hurry up and start the car!" You generally don't "begin" an object. In this case, you wouldn't say "begin the car". Thanks, Ashwa ![]() Usuario Principiante17 | ¿Tiene una pregunta? Hay gente esperando para ofrecerle ayuda.
