A lot. There's a whole caboodle of them !
I, myself, am still groping my way around them.
They are a big headache for us learners.
English is much more learner-friendly ! [H]

Well, I've already noticed a lot of similarities between Spanish tenses and English tenses (but there are also differences, of course) so wanted to try to systematize the information in my head, lol. I guess there are more than 10. But that's OK, even English has around 12 tenses basically, while the most useable are about 6-7. Emotion: smile

I've never counted English tenses. I just use them.
I didn't know they are that many !
Thanx for telling me. [H]

Hola:

Si buscamos la conjugación de cualquier verbo encontramos que:

Indicativo: Tiene ocho tiempos.

estoy cantando
estaba cantando
estaré cantando
he estado cantando
estuve cantando
etc.

ir a + infinitivo (equivalente al going to)

voy a cantar
iba a cantar

¡Gracias, Tito! It explains it well.
Although, is the imperative mood considered a tense in Spanish?
