Subiste a un cerezo que tenía dos cerezas.
No comiste cerezas en plural, sino sólo una, y dejaste también una.

Es un acertijo viejo, pero muy bueno. A mi me gusta mucho. Por cierto, en inglés, sería más o menos así, ¿no?:

To a cherry I climbed up, that cherries it had. Cherries I didn't eat. Cherries I didn't leave. How many cherries there was?

¿Es correcto?

I would say "To a cherry I climbed, cherries it had. Cherries I didn't eat. Cherries I didn't leave. How many cherries where there?   - But if you want to make sure, you can ask it here :)

I would say "To a cherry I climbed, cherries it had. Cherries I didn't eat. Cherries I didn't leave. How many cherries where there?   - But if you want to make sure, you can ask it here :)



Perhap a little bit better would be "Up a cherry tree I climbed, to see how many cherries there were.  Cherries I did not eat. Cherries I did not leave.  How many cherries were there?
